Welcome to the figurative language Wiki of CNG's grade 8 English students. Here is what to do.
1. Click on the links at the left to choose the correct page for your example.
2. Click EDIT, then, on a NEW line, type your example.(One you MADE UP, NOT one that was on the board, NOT one from a poem or song someone else wrote)
3. Put your NAME AND CLASS PERIOD in parenthesis after your example like this- (Ms. Shawn per. 72)
4. Then look at the other examples and comment on at least three of them. You can tell how they make you FEEL, what TONE it had, if you think it is a strong or weak example and why.....
5. After each comment ALSO put your NAME AND CLASS PERIOD in parenthesis like in #3.
*MAKE SURE TO CLICK "SAVE" AFTER YOU FINISH ON EACH PAGE!!
Your requirements for credit are....
1 example on EACH PAGE (the pages with * in the title are preAP so regular English students don't have to put an example on those)
THREE comments on other examples on EACH PAGE.
You NAME AND PERIOD next to each post you make (otherwise I won't know to whom to give the credit.)
I will be grading your posts on January 13, so make sure to post BEFORE then!!
